Many veterans like me choose not to register with the political party and that’s why I’m voting no on Measure 2. Measure 2 would force thousands of veterans and active duty military to join a political party just to participate in Alaska’s primary elections. We put our lives on the line, we should have the freedom to vote in all of Alaska’s elections vote no on Ballot Measure 2.
Right now every Alaskan has the freedom to vote for who they believe is the best candidate regardless of party thanks to our Open Primary, but political elites and dark money want to strip away that freedom with measure two taking our power back for them. Vote no on Ballot Measure 2 protect our Open Primary, keep the freedom to vote for the candidates we want.
Alaska finally has an election system that isn’t controlled by political parties or special interests. We have the freedom to vote how we want, for who we want. So of course after just one open election, political elites are trying to take that away with Measure 2, grabbing power back for themselves. I say, no way. That’s why I’m voting no on measure 2.

They defend America abroad. When they return home, many veterans and service members choose not to register with a political party. Now political elites are using Measure 2 to force them to join a party just to vote in Alaska’s primary. They put their lives on the line; they deserve the freedom to vote for who they want.
